Valfloriana is a scattered Italian municipality of 470 inhabitants in the autonomous province of Trento. It is located in the lower Fiemme valley on the border with the Cembra valley, on the left side of the Avisio. The name Valfloriana derives from its patron saint, San Floriano, while according to another tradition it derives from its flowery clearings surrounded by fir woods. The municipality is made up of thirteen hamlets, with the municipal seat located in Casatta (853 m). The other hamlets range from the valley floor at an altitude of 700 m in Ischiazza to climb up to 1200 m in the hamlet of Sicina. The Costanza hut is located in the woods above the hamlet of Montalbiano.
