Budi re-emphasized that he supports the eradication of online gambling in all lines. He even stated that there should be no slack. However, when questioned again by the media crew, Budi chose to leave. Budi Arie only emphasized that he is now focusing on his new duties as Minister of Cooperatives. Budi Arie has recently been in the spotlight because 11 employees of the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) have become suspects in an online gambling case. They are said to have abused their authority and actually backed thousands of gambling sites. Most recently, the police said that they did not rule out the possibility of questioning Budi Arie as the former Minister of Communication and Information. However, the police have not been able to confirm when Budi Arie's summons will be carried out because the investigation is still ongoing. The spotlight on Budi Arie also occurred in the meeting room of Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Wednesday (6/11). As done by the PDI Perjuangan Faction's Mufti Anam. Mufti urged Budi Arie to provide clarification regarding the judol case in his former ministry. According to Mufti, based on the news circulating, not a few people close to Budi Arie were involved in the judol case. Meanwhile, another member of the PDIP Faction, Rieke Diah Pitaloka, at the same meeting also touched on the judol issue. Rieke said about the existence of online loans under the guise of cooperatives including judol which are related to money laundering (TPPU).
