In 2000 the project of Windsurfing Center Stintino WCS Escursioniasinara.com was born, to create an activity for the enjoyment of the newborn Asinara National Park and its Marine Protected Area. Initially, given the great passion of the WCS for sailing with its historical activity carried out by federal instructors, it decided to undertake excursions to discover the former prison island with the "Twin", a 12 mt super performing racing catamaran completely open built in carbon and kevlar that in a very short time ploughed the waters of the Gulf of Asinara reaching the three landing places of the island in a very short time. The first excursions were real lessons based on teaching the art of sailing and the guests of the catamaran were involved in the management of navigation and in the maneuvers that were carried out on board as well as sharing a nice lunch and a large amount of baths in the crystal clear waters of the Park. After a few seasons with the need for more comfortable boats that could be appreciated by all types of customers, even the less sporty ones, WCS used comfortable and spacious 12m cruising catamarans for excursions to Asinara, with which mini cruises were made between Asinara, the south of Corsica and the Maddalena National Park and therefore the possibility of staying overnight on board. The fleet grew to 4 units with the arrival of Stella Marina, a 14m sailing catamaran with the capacity to accommodate up to 35 people for day charters, an ideal boat for day trips to Asinara with lunch on board and short half-day trips with lots of diving.
