Carlos has a PhD in Philosophy, a PhD in Theology and a degree in Chemistry. From a very early age he has dazzled with his intellectual capacity and his fundamental interest in knowledge. For example, at just 11 years old he was admitted to the Spanish Association of Egyptology as a scholar of the hieroglyphic system. He was awarded a scholarship from 2009 to 2011 to participate in a study committee at Harvard and to date he has published twenty books focusing on issues that mix the philosophy of science with neuroscience and beliefs. He is currently a professor at the Pontifical University of Comillas, and continues to write. His latest manuscript can be found on his website, www.carlosblanco.es with the title God, Science and Philosophy: from the rational to the divine. I recommend it to you. In addition to his academic activity, in 2012 he co-founded an association in collaboration with the Oxford Martin School, called The Altius Society, for the multidisciplinary study and analysis of the most relevant issues facing human beings today. Talking to Carlos is like talking to a person who knows a lot about many subjects. However, there is a noticeable predisposition to be intellectually surprised, I believe, as a strategy to be able to expand his knowledge. This attitude is a great value that is never too much to promote, even more so when specialized profiles are nowadays valued less than multidisciplinary profiles in any discipline. Opening a channel of dialogue between different profiles is, without a doubt, a good mechanism to give greater value to the interaction between people.
