Thiti Sangsawang, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, ordered relevant persons and the investigation team, according to the order of the Metropolitan Police Bureau 1, No. 285/2567, dated November 11, 67, to request an arrest warrant from the Criminal Court, which led to the issuance of an arrest warrant for Dr. Boon Vanasin, including the suspects involved in the gang and the circumstances Involved in this case, 9 people were involved. Then, there were victims, mostly leading businessmen in the country and hundreds of medical personnel, who believed that Dr. Boon and his family had several securities companies that were properly registered with the Stock Exchange of Thailand. Therefore, they joined the investment through contacting the representative (broker) of the securities company as a representative to raise investment funds for Dr. Boon and his family, including investing in projects that offered to invest in the form that Dr. Boon made a loan contract with interest to the victims and paid checks to the victims to pay off the loan, along with checks to pay interest in advance in the name of Dr. Boon Vanasin, with Ms. Charuwan Vanasin and Ms. Nawara Vanasin, family members, as guarantors according to the contract. In addition, Ms. Charuwan Vanasin and Ms. Nawara Vanasin, both of whom signed the back of every check that Dr. Boon Vanasin gave to the lender. At first, interest was paid, but later, there was no payment at all. For the checks that were issued, when the victims took the checks to cash on the date and time ordered, it turned out that the bank refused to pay the money. Until later, from the investigation, it was found that Dr. Boon had traveled out of Thailand on September 29, 67 at 2:25 p.m. by Cathay Pacific Airways to China, with the behavior of fleeing. In the case between December 66 - October 67, there were a group of victims who filed complaints with the investigation officer at Huai Khwang Police Station according to the Act on Offenses Relating to the Use of Cheques B.E. 2534, totaling 527 cases, with a total damage value of more than 7,564,433,637 baht (seven billion five hundred sixty-four million four hundred thirty-three thousand six hundred thirty-seven baht). Immediately after the court approved the arrest warrants for the nine suspects, officers from the Metropolitan Police Bureau and Metropolitan Police Division 1 rushed to track down and arrest the suspects. Six people have been apprehended: 1. Ms. Jidapa Phumphut, 53 years old, 2. Ms. Siwimol Jadmuang, 38 years old, 3. Ms. Atchima Phanitkriangkrai, 49 years old, 4. Mr. Phak Wattanaporn, 36 years old, 5. Ms. Phatthanit Na Songkhla, 55 years old, 6. Mr. Thanaphum Chonprasit, 36 years old. There are still 3 people who are still at large: Dr. Boon Vanasin, 86 years old, Ms. Charuwan Vanasin, 79 years old, Dr. Boon’s wife, and Ms. Nalin Vanasin, 51 years old, the daughter of Dr. Boon and Ms. Charuwan. Officers are in the process of tracking them down for legal proceedings. The Metropolitan Police Bureau has seen fit to send the investigation report of this case to the Central Investigation Bureau or the Department of Special Investigation to conduct an investigation in accordance with its authority.
