We visited Anders Larsen at Store Merløse, where Anders takes us on a tour of the field and talks about how he grows his crops. In this film, we start with the winter rapeseed, which was sown on August 15. Anders has aimed for a plant density of 40 plants/m2 and the pre-crop is, as always, winter barley, so that the rapeseed can be sown on time. When we visited Anders at the beginning of December, the rapeseed was finished and looking good. From the rapeseed, the tour moved on to rye, which is grown for breeding. Here we had a chat about the considerations Anders has had regarding planting and sowing as well as avoiding damage from the many insects and lice that have been present in the autumn. Watch the final and third part, where we take a closer look at red fescue and end with winter barley.
