We are in Rumeli Hisarı on our Youtube channel Crumbs from İsmail Bakar. Once upon a time, Rumeli Hisarı consisted of Kaleiçi Neighborhood, Meydan Neighborhood, Yalılar and Armenian Neighborhood. In this week's work, we will tell the story of the Armenian Neighborhood around the Surp Santuht Church in Rumeli Hisarı. More precisely, our Armenian citizens will tell their own neighborhood. In our documentary, we will include memories of Hisarı, the history of Surp Santuht Church, the Name Day of the Church, Halimpaşa Grove visited after the Name Day, the September 6-7 Events, and finally the story of the Armenian Cemetery in Hisarüstü and images from the cemetery. Şahin Demir will sing Cahit Sıtkı Tarancı's poem "Memleket İsterim". Our young musicians Erhan Kara and Emre Bakar will add color to our documentary with their bağlama.
