Back in Argonne for this second video to discover the roads and incredible historical sites of the region! Feel free to like, follow the channel, or share this content if you liked it; also feel free to leave a comment! To contact me: [email protected] As always: this video was shot with very rudimentary means, thank you for your understanding (especially for the sound in the headphones at certain times...), despite everything it is certainly the video that required the most work! Some information & sources... Please respect these different sites during your visits. Abris du Kronprinz: These shelters are found north of the D67, not far from the crossroads with the Haute Chevauchée. They are accessible after about 600m of passable track (but stony!). Totally free access. Source: http://www.varennesenargonne.fr/pages... Moreau Valley Camp: Access to the North of Vienne le Chateau, on the D63. Parking 200m south of the entrance. Visits take place on Saturday mornings, but during the summer the site is also open on Sundays and public holidays. Allow €5 per person, the guided tour lasts about two hours and is a real mine of information! Some very interesting books for sale on site & reproductions of historical postcards, etc. https://www.valleemoreau.com/ Thank you for their permission for the publication of these few images in my video. Butte de Vauquois: The Butte de Vauquois can be visited freely and multiple walking trails go around the hill and the craters! Large parking lot to the south of the hill, arriving via the current village. But the visit does not end there... Unfortunately, I was not able to do it before the publication of this video, but the visit of the underground installations is still possible! I hope to be able to go there soon. More information on this site: http://butte-vauquois.fr/ Varennes en Argonne: Nice stop to make in Varennes! The museum, the Louis XVI tower, the village on the banks of the Aire... There is even a campsite. The Pennsylvania memorial is located to the southwest, it borders rue Louis XVI. You can't miss it! :-) Montfaucon d'Argonne: Free access to climb the tower (be careful, the climb is difficult, there are many floors!). It opens every day. The tower is directly next to the ruins of the old village and the ruins of the collegiate church. A must-see. German Cemetery of Aprémont: Small incursion into the Ardennes department to find this site in the middle of the forest, on the edge of the D66 between Aprémont (08) and Binarville (51). Please note, when I went to shoot these images at the end of October, this road was closed for forestry work. So access is only possible from the East starting from Aprémont. I don't know if it's still under construction today... About speed: Even if it's very rare, I sometimes discover during editing that the speedometer indicates a speed slightly above the authorized limit (like 90 when exiting a bend...). This is not intentional, I urge everyone to respect the highway code! Simply: I first look at the road! Secondly, I look at my GPS, which indicates a speed 5 to 10 km/h lower than that of my speedometer, and often closer to reality. That's the how and why! No intention on my part to drive too fast openly. From today on I'll stop wasting my time blurring this kind of thing, you'll have understood that I'm not racing. On these kind words, thank you for reading all this, see you soon for new rides!!
