Gabriela is an Argentinean physical education teacher who works as a circus arts teacher. She currently lives in Fortaleza (CE) with her young daughter and her husband. She arrived in Brazil without knowing much Portuguese and gradually, between comings and goings, from Buenos Aires to Fortaleza, she settled in the latter city. Gabriela's journey is very beautiful and, in this testimony, she talks a little about her experience in Fortaleza, from the perspective of an artist. Throughout her education, she was always involved in the artistic universe of theater, dance, and circus and, little by little, she realized that she was living in a different social context in which she had to start her journey all over again. It is very worthwhile to learn about her story and also to better understand the particularities of Brazil and Argentina from her perspective.
