Until a few years ago, the Steenkoolkaai was adorned with a striking advertising wall for Zanussi, the Italian brand of household appliances. A photo by Stephan Vanfleteren during Winter Wonders 2016 made the mural extra iconic. The wall gained even more fame when a street artist changed the letters 'ZANUSSI' to 'ANU-S', and provided the image with a gigantic sphincter. Zanussi and his behind disappeared behind new-build apartments of real estate giant Bouygues Immobilier in 2017, and you can now also search hard for other old wall advertisements in oil paint.
