Architecture, which began with the sheltering need of mankind, physically finds its counterpart in all stages of life today, from education to health, from economy to trade. It is impossible to keep this physical process separate from social, cultural, economic and environmental parameters. In the “Architecture and Life” talk presented by Dr. Olcay Aydemir, different dimensions of architecture, especially in Istanbul, a historical city, are discussed. In November, Dr. Olcay Aydemir will host art historian Sibel Demirci in the Architecture and Life program.
