In this episode of Arab Tales, Jan Natkański talks about Lebanon - a country that until the mid-1970s was called the "Switzerland of the Middle East", and its stunning and diverse landscape, proximity to the mountains earned it the name of a place where you can water and snow ski on the same day. The civil war that began in 1975 - not entirely due to the fault of the Lebanese - lasted almost 20 years, meant political and economic "harakiri" for the state and the nation, after which the country never returned to its previous stability, solidity, prosperity and peace.
