From Foce di Pianza (above Carrara) with path 173 you reach Foce del Fanaletto from where you go up the beautiful NW ridge of Sagro (some I+ passages) up to the summit from where you can enjoy a magnificent panorama. You descend from the S ridge until you reach the top of Spallone and then descend again from its beautiful SW ridge up to Foce della Faggiola from where, with path 172, after a short digression on M. Faggiola you return to Pianza. L = 6.2 km H = 600 m T = 5h
