Apple Berliners or doughnut rolls made from yeast and choux pastry. They are as delicious as they look, wonderfully fluffy and fruity. You don't even want to wait until the apple Berliners have cooled down and I can tell you that they taste really delicious even when warm. The combination of the two doughs is simply brilliant, they make the apple doughnuts particularly fluffy. When they are then rolled in sugar or cinnamon sugar after frying, the temptation is just too great... you just have to bite into them.
