In this talk, Beatriz Gato, from the Institute of Fundamental Physics (IFF CSIC), reviews antimatter, dark matter and dark energy, the exotic and mysterious side of the universe. We will see what they consist of, how they were discovered, what their properties are, and how much they contribute to the total matter and energy of the Universe. We will also explain how we could detect antistars (if they exist) and what the matter-antimatter asymmetry problem consists of. In addition, we will describe the experiments that are carried out to create and analyze anti-atoms, and we will see the uses that are made of antimatter in our society, in hospitals as well as in industry and in the area of ​​Materials Science and Technology.
