Rosalinda Montone has participated in 26 expeditions to Antarctica. She is a professor at the Oceanographic Institute of the University of São Paulo. She holds a bachelor's degree in Chemistry and a postgraduate degree in Chemical Oceanography. She has experience in the area of Oceanography with an emphasis on marine pollution, working mainly in research on pollution by sewage, plastics and persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in the marine environment and Antarctica.
