Although Anna knew early on that she wanted to be a mother, this information still came as a complete surprise to her. A few years later, Anna began fertility treatment. At the start of treatment, it was not yet possible to predict how long the treatment would actually take, or what hurdles, ups and downs she would face. Four years passed before Anna became pregnant. Four years in which Anna has 11 artificial inseminations, goes through several cycles of hormonal stimulation and, unfortunately, also suffers two miscarriages. In December 2022, Anna finds out that she is finally pregnant. She can hardly believe her luck. We met Anna shortly before the birth of her son. She tells us how she experienced the time of fertility treatment, what effect the two losses have on her fears and the attitude with which she goes into childbirth. Five months after the birth, we meet Anna again. The birth of Anna's son Levi went very differently than hoped. Due to complications, Anna has to have a cesarean section under general anesthesia. Due to anesthesia and painkillers, Anna has no memories of the birth of her son and her memories of the time afterwards have also faded. A traumatic experience for Anna. Her son Levi is born healthy.
