The plane takes off in the dark, the time zones come one after the other and the flight - after many hours - lands in the dark at the destination. One of the pilots falls asleep. Under controlled conditions. No problem with that. But sometimes it happens when they both fall asleep behind the dashboard. Countless environmental factors work against the staff at this time. But what can be done when the pilots do not answer the air traffic controller's call? A few weeks ago, an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 flew over the destination airport because both pilots were dozing off.
