The granite vessel from Ancient Egypt is estimated to be over 5,000 years old, possibly even older, and dates back to long before the first dynasties of the pharaohs. It is remarkable not only because it was carefully crafted from a single piece of red granite. The vessel was subjected to high-precision structured laser scanning. The analysis showed that the artifact’s design has a precision comparable to that of modern manufacturing, which is reflected in every aspect of the vessel: the inside, the outside, and the relationship between its internal and external parts. Further in-depth analysis revealed other interesting findings.
