The Arabic movie Me and My Daughters is an Egyptian movie released in 1961, starring Salah Zulfikar, Nahed Sherif, Zaki Rostom, Amal Farid, Zahra El Ola and Fayza Ahmed, written and directed by Hussein Helmy El Mohandes. The story of the movie: A father is able to raise his four daughters well, but he cannot provide the money needed to prepare them for marriage. When he retires, a swindler seizes his bonus. The father is admitted to the hospital after an accident, and his daughters work to face life. One of them works as a singer in a hall, the second works as a fashion model, the third writes stories and admires a famous writer and adopts him as her, while the fourth stays at home to take care of his affairs. The father learns about their condition and decides to disappear from sight. One of the girls falls into temptation and decides to commit suicide and dies. The tragedy prompts the father to return again to reunite the family.
