Author: Fito Páez Tour: 'Dos en la carretera' with Víctor Manuel Presentation of their albums 'Peces de ciudad' and 'El hijo del ferrocarril', respectively. - - - Ana Belén and Fito Páez star in an unusual duo here. Ana recorded the song solo on her album 'Peces de ciudad' (2001) and during this concert in Madrid, she performed it with its author, the famous Argentine musician Fito Páez. A classic of Hispanic music. A beautiful creation by Fito, who recorded it solo on his album 'Giros' (1985). It has been performed by many other international singers such as the Argentine Mercedes Sosa, who popularized the song even more with her famous version. It is a very ethereal and heartbreaking lyric, full of symbolism, born from the horror and tragedy that the Argentine Military Dictatorship (1976/1983) represented, expressing all of this through subtle metaphors, and above all, looking to the future with hope. Together they perform a duet that is worth seeing just for Fito's eccentric and striking attitude. Furthermore, personally, it is a song that is among my favorites from Ana Belén's musical career and I would highlight the magical vocal improvisations at the end of the performance.
