The village of Eski Doğanbey, formerly known as Domatia, in the Söke district of Aydın is a small, quiet, and peaceful village. The village, where the Greek people lived until the population exchange in 1924, leans its back to the ancient name Mykale and today's Dilek Mountains. With its stone houses left by the Greeks and restored by its new owners today, its narrow streets and natural beauties, Doğanbey Village is like an open-air museum waiting to be discovered. The houses abandoned by the Greeks are currently being restored by their new owners. The architectural wonder stone houses leaning their backs to the Dilek Mountains, with a view of the delta and the sea in front of them where the Büyük Menderes flows, are now quite well-maintained. Life in Eski Doğanbey Village continues where it left off.
