Several oliebollen stalls in the region have long queues on New Year's Eve. "We plan to close at 4:00 PM, but I don't think that will work," says Patty Keizer from the stall on Beatrixplein. The stall is one of the busiest in the region. The queue there can easily take up to half an hour. In Heemstede, at the stall on Binnenweg, it is even busier. There, the waiting times can be up to an hour and a half. "You have to make some sacrifices for an oliebol," says a woman who has just received her bag of balls. "But it's worth it. After an hour of waiting, they taste even better!"
