Babin - an expedition to the Hutsul village of craftsmen, which is famous for its long-sleeved shirts, pink keptars and the fact that everyone here goes out for the holiday in national clothes, and not only in an embroidered shirt, but also in keptars, sardaks and spare parts! This village has its own special floral style of shirt embroidery! Well, I have never seen so many old houses like here! In this expedition, we walked through the center of the village and went to one of the mountain farms of Fedora! We photographed at least 10 hundred-year-old huts in the center and another 10 similar houses, and we saw even older ones in the farm of Fedora! There are very friendly people who preserve their traditions and spiritual values! They are building new houses, and they are not destroying the homes of their grandparents, as usual, but preserving them! In Fedory, we were lucky enough to meet Kateryna, who has a very loud and charming voice! Kateryna sang us some local songs! Near Fedorami, we met Ivan Shtefurak, who shared an impressive story about his father, who was tortured by the Soviet troops because of a trident on a bastard! The bastard is the main talisman of the house, a beam on which the Hutsuls carved ancient symbols for the well-being and prosperity of the whole family! The NKVD came to visit him, saw the trident on the bastard and took it with them. There are many such stories in Ukraine! Our mission is to write them down and save them!
