The spring clearing sawmill work has moved to a new area. Now we are clearing a sapling where a mixed spruce/birch/pine forest grows. We planted a mixed spruce/pine sapling in the area at the time and the silver birch came naturally. In the video, we are clearing an area where there is mainly spruce and silver birch and of course also mountain ash, alder, aspen, etc. I always strive to clear a mixed forest that would be as diverse as possible for nature, humans and would have better disease resistance in the future. In the video, the nice cool working weather of the morning changes to a heat that shows no mercy to the logger. The sapling is still too small to provide shade and the air is completely calm. Let's see how the man survives this raging day. Enjoy watching.
