It all started in October 2022 with an idea and an attitude. Once upon a time there was me; Rafael R. Martins with a dream that was a bit bold for my standards, to get to know the Amazon and do it with my own jeep. I've had other 4x4s in the past, but this truck has a history in the family since 1994. It's a 1963 F75 that my father bought in 94 and it was the first jeep I had contact with and I did my first trail. Today the F75 is mine and I've done many adventures aboard it, and one of my (jirico) ideas was to go to the Amazon driving this car. For that I would need to find some crazy people who would accept the idea so I wouldn't go alone, my father was my choice for Zeca, it couldn't be anyone else, after all he was the one who brought me to this world and it was also his dream to see the Amazon aboard a 4x4, then it wasn't difficult to find some crazy people who would accept the challenge right away, because going to the Amazon leaving São Paulo aboard a jeep like that, let's face it, is not for everyone, the crazy ones were Guilherme and Ricardo with a 2012 Troller from the channel @TrollerAdventure, Tiago from @Tiago.tr4 together with Marcio (Garupa) who took Luciano's 1962 Willys from @nossaturmaoff-road4x4, Marcão and Luiz with their 1996 Toyota Bandeirante, Helio with his 1958 Willys, Rodrigo from @tr4maximus534 and Fernando who went by plane to Porto Velho and They sent the 2014 Tr4 Maximus in a hurry. Now with the team formed, it was time to choose the route, prepare the jeeps, save money, find sponsors, make contact with the Ferryboat people in Manaus and leave. But wait!! My F75 still had the BF 161 engine and a dry 3-speed gearbox, and although they were very reliable and simple, it did not reach a comfortable speed for a 10,000 km trip. I would have many complications along the way due to the lack of power and speed of this set. That's when I decided to change the gearbox and then the engine. It took a whole year of planning, tweaking and improving the jeep to have the maximum comfort and safety possible without taking away the original visual characteristics of Grandma. For those who don't know, Grandma is the F75. If you want to know her story and see the adaptations, you can find everything here on the channel. But when we got back, we found partners to help with the expenses, also those who helped with the transformations of the jeep and with parts, accessories and everything else. Finally, when the big day of departure arrived, the expectations were huge and it was hard to believe that this was really happening. We were leaving Mogi heading north of the country and we were going to enter the Amazon rainforest. There were many hardships. In this second episode, check out our saga Leaving the State of São Paulo passing through Mato Grosso and arriving in Rondônia with the right to some more problems in the jeeps, thank you for following us now embark with us on this adventure, there will be several episodes telling every detail of this spectacular trip.
