The General Chairperson of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) KH. Said Aqil Siroj alluded to groups that promote the concept of a new state, the Sharia-based NKRI. As is known, the Sharia-based NKRI was first promoted by Islamic mass organizations such as FPI, PA 212, and FUI in the 4th Ulama Ijtimak. They consider the enforcement of the caliphate state to be an obligation. Kiai Said said that these groups ignore a number of facts that there are no valid references regarding the leadership model in Islam. Kiai Said said that these groups adhere to the argument that states that people who do not apply Allah's law are infidels and their blood is halal.
