This film is based on a duet with Hashi Yukio that won the Japan Record Award in 1962. Set in the industrial district of downtown Tokyo, the film depicts a love triangle between Hikaru (Yoshinaga Sayuri), a nurse affectionately known as Pika-chan, Shori (Hamada Mitsuo), a factory worker attending night school, and Tomeji (Hashi Yukio), a new driver. This is a golden youth epic film featuring a stellar cast that includes the pure love duo of Yoshinaga and Hamada and the king of the music world, Hashi Yukio. (C)1962 Nikkatsu Corporation
