#altoadige #alpedisiusi #trekking With today's trek we reach the Rifugio Alpe di Tires starting from Compatsch on the Alpe di Siusi, in South Tyrol. The Rifugio Alpe di Tires is located on the saddle of the same name, at a point where all the paths seem to lead. It was here, where the paths from the Sciliar to the Sasso Lungo and Sasso Piatto, and from the Alpe di Siusi to the Catinaccio, cross, that 50 years ago, the mountain guide Max Aichner from Tires transformed into reality, his daring idea of ​​building an alpine refuge. From the 1844 meters of Compatsch through path no. 2 we reach the spectacular fork of the Denti di Terrarossa at 2,499 m. and then descend on the opposite side to the 2,440 m of the Refuge. We complete our circular tour of about 19 km by heading towards the Molignon Refuge (1 hour) and then with another hour and a half of walking to our starting point.
