Hello everyone, let's go on the third day from Spittal an der Drau to Tarvisio. We were really looking forward to Italy and crossing the border, especially Tina. But it wasn't made easy for us that day. On the gravelly surface of the Drau, Tinma's back wheel slipped and she fell. A shocking moment for both of us. At first I thought that was it. In moments like these it is all the nicer to have lots of helpers around. Today the route took us along the Drau for a long time and when you are so excited about Italy it seems even longer. We then went via Villach to the border town of Arnoldstein and then finally the Italian border. Italy welcomed us with a small climb and two ice-cold Gösser Radler beers which had their effect in temperatures over 30 degrees :-) We stayed in a small hotel in Tarvisio for 75 euros.
