The threats against Sweden are increasingly cross-border and non-military. Technological development and globalization have contributed to a changed security policy landscape and an increasingly blurred line between internal and external security. Furthermore, conflicts abroad risk contributing to domestic polarization, and troubled times can be exploited by violent extremists, among others. In this seminar, Sweden's intelligence chiefs will initially discuss the threats to Sweden, from the outside and from within. What does the threat picture look like? What are the implications of external threats for internal security, and what challenges does the loosening of the boundary between internal and external threats entail? In the second panel, the more local and practical perspective on the changed security situation is discussed. How does this complicate the work with internal security, does it require prioritization among the security threats that exist?
