We briefly touched upon the relationship between the history of Alevism and the Safavid State through the book of Ayfer Karakaya-Stump. Karakaya-Stump opens a brand new era in Alevi history studies by masterfully bringing up previously unused documents in the articles collected in this book. I hope that others will follow her with the same solid steps that will shake the roots of conventional and outdated discourses so that we can write Alevi history in all its richness. In short, this book is the first deep breath of real Alevi historiography – it should be read with digestion. The book mentioned in the publication: https://www.kitapyurdu.com/kitap/vefa... The other book I recommend: The History of Kizilbash https://www.kitapyurdu.com/kitap/kizi...
