This is the first of the IFIC talks since lockdown, in which we will discuss some topics in 20th century physics. This talk covers the theory of relativity, in its two halves: special relativity and general relativity. The first of these is a theory about motion, and the second is a theory about gravity. Although they may seem to be very different phenomena, the great power of relativity is that it shows us that both are related, and in this talk we will review the concepts underlying this relationship. The speaker in this case is Alberto Aparici, outreach coordinator at IFIC. The talk was originally broadcast on April 30, 2020. If you want to check out the presentation, you can find it here: https://docs.google.com/presentation/... During the talk we mentioned the IFIC outreach blog, which you can find here: https://bloggy.ific.uv.es/bloggy/ Finally, an article on black holes written by Alberto Aparici is also mentioned.
