#AkinaNakamori #desire #1984 #diva #desire "DESIRE - Passion -" (desire passion) is a song by Japanese singer Akina Nakamori. It was released as her 14th single on February 3, 1986 (EP: L-1750) by Warner Pioneer (now Warner Music Japan)'s Reprise Records label. The liner notes of the single record included a note saying, "Please listen to this record at the loudest volume possible." The song was written by Yoko Akiko, a first for Nakamori's singles, with music by Kisaburo Suzuki and arrangement by Kazuo Shiina. The costumes she wore for the song, which she performed on a music program, were a Western-style arrangement of traditional Japanese clothing, which critics described as "innovative and unusual," with a bob wig and high heels. In addition, the performance also featured Nakamori's original choreography. When choosing the costume for this song, Nakamori stated, "I want to sing this song in a kimono." This unconventional statement shocked the staff around her. The choreography for the "Nante ne" part of the song was inspired by baseball pitching. They won the Japan Record Award at the 28th Japan Record Awards held in 1986. Following the 27th Japan Record Awards held the previous year (1985) with "Meu amor é...", they became the second group in history to win the award two years in a row. They were the first female singer to win two years in a row. Nakamori herself won the Japan Record Award in the same year, but she entered the award with the single "Fin" two songs later, not the title song. 28th Japan Record Awards Grand Prize, Gold Prize, Best Artist Prize 15th FNS Song Festival Grand Prix 12th Nippon Television Music Festival Grand Prix 19th All Japan Cable Broadcasting Awards (first half) Grand Prix 19th Japan Cable Awards Most Requested Singer Award, Cable Music Award 19th Japan Record Sales Awards Grand Prize (representative work) 1st Japan Gold Disc Awards The Best Single of the Year Award (Japanese music) 1st place (Oricon) 2nd place for 1986 (Oricon) 1st place (7 weeks, The Best Ten) 1st place for the first half of 1986 (The Best Ten) 2nd place for 1986 (The Best Ten) 1st place (7 weeks, The Top Ten ~ Top Ten Songs) 2nd place for 1986 (Top Ten Songs) Main channel is here [Sunny ★ Sometimes Travel] / @hare_toikidoki_tabi
