Every year, 30 million pieces of luggage disappear from airports around the world. Although most are found and returned to their owners within 48 hours, many remain unaccounted for or are stripped of their valuables. At Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle, the busiest of French airports, baggage theft is constantly increasing. To counter this threat, a special unit has been set up.
