This series will show you how air traffic controllers handle airplanes with ATC subtitles, radar, flight charts, and footage of aircraft recorded at the same time. In this first installment, we have recorded 13 planes of continuous landings by LDA method on RWY22 (Runway B) at Haneda Airport, and the interaction between tower controllers who handle them gracefully, without any cuts. - About LDA approach At Haneda Airport, LDA approach to RWY22 is performed when there is a southerly wind and good weather. This is a rare method worldwide, and at Haneda Airport, noise control measures for urban areas are taken by flying over the sea for a long time. After receiving radar guidance toward the localizer installed near the west end of the Tokyo Gate Bridge, the landing aircraft makes a left turn toward RWY22 and finally lands visually. In the video, you can see the arriving aircraft turning and descending in front of the runway. ⚠️Disclaimer * The flight chart (strip) displayed in the video is for illustration purposes only. It is different from the one used by the actual air traffic controller. *The ATC (air traffic control) subtitles may be incorrect. Also, some parts have been translated for clarity. *Please note that there are scenes with a lot of camera shake due to weather conditions and my lack of skill. #Live-action version #I am an air traffic controller
