Just like last week, today too we will be moving around the territory of Hrubé Jeseník on bikes. The route will take us to the Dlouhé Stráná hydroelectric power station with an area of 16 hectares and which shines like a mirror in the sun's rays. We cannot bathe in it - for one thing, bathing is prohibited and the water temperature is very close to zero. Next, we swallow the altitude meters to the Horní reservoir, which is at an altitude of 1,350 m. The Horní Reservoir is the largest pumped water power plant in the Czech Republic and its operating volume is 2,580,000 cubic meters. The reward for the trodden kilometers comes on the way back - a descent around the Ztracené potok waterfalls, through Klepáčov to the village of Vernířovice, and the beech groves under Vlčí sedlom accompany us de facto all the way back to the bike park in Koutec. In the Kouty bike park, a six-seater cable car will transport you to the top. Complete beginners and seasoned downhillers will find their allotment and adrenaline here - there are 4 routes to choose from - Uhlířská foota - the easiest 5 km trail, Stará medvědice represents a three-kilometer forest trail with respectable flaps and roots, Koutík's dream , where the Czech Cup and the national downhill championship are held only for seasoned bikers, and the quartet of local trail routes is completed by the red Hřebenovka with elements of fourcross and freeride. Route description: From the center of sports events in Kouty, we set off upstream of the Desná River to the Lower Reservoir of the Dlouhé Stráně power plant. And then it begins - a nourishing asphalt, long ascent to the Upper reservoir up to a height of 1350 m above sea level. The reward comes on the way back. A brisk descent around the waterfalls of Lost Stream, through Klepáčov to the village of Vernířovice. We had enough rest, so we went up again to the beginning of the last part of the blue Uhlířská trail, which will take us to the starting point and in this case the destination - to Kouty. Total route length 48.5 km, elevation gain 1413 km, time 4.5 hours Route: https://mapy.cz/s/jubosalupa
