About :

On March 10, 1993, the Argentine government closed the vast majority of the railway lines belonging to Ferrocarriles Argentinos. Since then, no passenger train had connected Buenos Aires with Patagonia. Today, after 30 years, we managed to link Haedo (Buenos Aires province) with Cipolletti (Río Negro province). We did it within the framework of Tren Solidario (http://www.trensolidario.org), an initiative that seeks to recover the life of Argentine railway lines through solidarity and cooperation. This organization has already connected Buenos Aires with Patagonia on several occasions, visiting places such as Zapala, Bariloche and Ojo de Agua, always creating unique and memorable experiences. On this occasion, I had the privilege and honor of participating in this journey, which at each station fills your eyes with tears and, at the same time, with hope for achieving the long-awaited railway reconnection in our country. The trip was made in luxury cars belonging to the National Railway Museum, which included a bar car, a cinema car and a museum car. It was about 52 hours surrounded by wonderful people, whose stories deserve to be told.
