The author's film by Alexander Sladkov is based on well-known and little-known events that have taken place in this eastern country since the withdrawal of Soviet troops in 1989. You will also see in the film modern Afghanistan, life in which is still full of interesting events today. One of the plots is a detective story about a journey by car of the author of the film Alexander Sladkov - who called himself a journalist studying the Afghan economy - along the drug trafficking route to the Pakistani border. Together with the author of the film, viewers will be able to get to know farmers who were forbidden to grow opium, visit the destroyed base of Bin Laden in the caves of Tora Bora, where battles with the Taliban are still going on. The author of the film visited such dangerous places where even in the daytime local residents do not risk appearing on the streets. He met with former mujahideen, and graduates of Soviet military schools and civilian universities, and with ordinary farmers, as well as young people who know about Russians only from the stories of their elders.
