Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is mainly associated with childhood. Meanwhile, the symptoms observed in children and adolescents with ADHD spectrum disorders, in most cases, persist into adulthood. So how do ADHD and ADD occur in adults? How is this disorder diagnosed in adults? These and many other questions will be answered by the guest of the webinar - Dr. Kajetana Foryciarz, M.D., who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD in adults and comorbid disorders. During the conversation, we will also discuss the differences in the course of ADHD and ADD in women and men and deal with myths about attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The meeting will be led by Michalina Mruczyk. Dr. Kajetana Foryciarz, M.D. - physician, doctor of medical sciences, psychiatrist, specialist in internal medicine and family medicine. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD in adults and comorbid disorders. She is a member of the European Network Adult ADHD, which brings together psychiatrists and psychologists, both practitioners and researchers. She runs a private practice in Warsaw in cooperation with a psychotherapeutic team. She gained medical experience at the 2nd Department of Psychiatry of the Medical University of Warsaw, the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw, the J. Babiński Specialist Hospital in Krakow, the Department of Psychiatry of the University Hospital in Krakow, the Department of Internal Medicine, Diabetology and Endocrinology of the Mazowiecki Bródnowski Hospital and the Department of Hematology in Krakow. Currently, she works at the Spark Academy high school in Poznań and teaches Psychology at the Poznań faculty of SWPS University.
