About :

After training in history and political science, Adrien Candiard joined the Dominican order in 2006. An Islamologist, he lives in the convent of Cairo in Egypt. He is the author of several books and is a member of the Dominican Institute of Oriental Studies. "God is at work beyond the visible borders of the Church and God does not belong to me." In this interview conducted in September 2021, he talks about his experience of Islam. He shares his knowledge of it with us and opens several chapters on the relationship to the law, on our vision of God and the truth, on what produces fanaticism and on the importance of studying to enlighten one's faith. He ends on a note of hope.
