Although journalism is not necessarily the fulfillment of her professional aspirations, it is also a safe haven that allows her to combine her fascination with the moving image, form, narrative and human emotions. It is thanks to them that she became a TV series reviewer, embedding her professional career in the area of ​​popular culture. Today, together with her husband Janusz - who even spoke for a moment in this conversation from behind the scenes - she runs the YouTube channel Jakbyniepaczeć, where she evaluates, recommends and explains what the author meant, and sometimes even travels around the world in the footsteps of the most visually interesting series. But we only talk about TV series with Kaja for a moment, because we touch on many interesting topics in this episode, and my guest talks beautifully about her experience of neuroatypicality. About how she has always felt that she was different and that she stood out. About how she masked and pushed herself so hard to fit into this neurotypical world, that it affected her body and it was the somatic symptoms that made her look for the cause. Finally, about how the diagnosis and everything that happened before and after it was a journey into self-awareness for her. On paper, my interviewee currently only has a confirmed ADHD diagnosis, but she sees many autism spectrum traits in herself and says that she will probably go for a further diagnosis. For now, she is giving herself time to get to know herself anew and discover who she really is.
