She has been diagnosed with ADHD for two years and she herself says about it today that it was like catharsis for her. Although, as she admits, before she received it, she was absolutely convinced that ADHD was a conspiracy theory, because she believed one of the most common myths about it. Asia had a whole range of symptoms since she was a child - she was always active and talkative, but also very anxious. Her parents went to the doctor with her due to sleep problems, which she had always had. Difficulty falling asleep, waking up, nightmares - this was little Asia's everyday life. In addition, she was constantly afraid of something and at a fairly early age she began to stutter badly. She struggled a lot at school, felt different from her peers, which was new, because her parents never made her feel that something might be wrong with her. In this conversation, my guest and I discuss, among other things, learning to let go and rest, in which we are often masters of theory, and the difficulties begin when it comes to practice. Today, my interlocutor is learning how to recognize things that she absolutely must do and separate them from things that she can let go of. Previously, like many of us, she took on far too much and couldn't decide what was important and what wasn't. In addition, rest was burdened with a sense of guilt for her and was rarely conscious. In addition, we talk about what minimalism, mindfulness and psychiatric medications can give us, as well as why we shouldn't be afraid of them and what taking care of our mental health has to do with diarrhea. The episode will be available on all standard platforms tomorrow. ----------------------------------------------- And if you are also atypical and would like to share your story with me, please contact me at: [email protected] Also check out: Instagram: @atypowe.podcast Facebook: Atypowe
