ADHD is a general name for behavioral disorders that are the most common reason for children to visit a psychologist or psychiatrist. Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is often confused with ADD, or attention deficit disorder. So how do you differentiate between the two disorders? How is ADHD diagnosed in children? These questions will be answered by the guest of the webinar - Marta Cieśla, a psychologist and psychotherapist who has been working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental challenges for a decade. During the meeting, we will also find out if there are differences between ADHD and ADD in girls and boys and, above all, how to support the development and functioning of the youngest. Together with the webinar host - Michalina Mruczyk, they will also discuss the most frequently repeated myths about ADHD and ADD in children. Marta Cieśla - psychologist and cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist. Since 2011, she has been working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental challenges - such as autism, Asperger's syndrome or ADHD, and with their parents as part of workshops for parents. She has been training teachers and therapists since 2013. She gained her psychotherapeutic experience as part of the ESPERI Development Support Center. She is a member of the Polish Society for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy. Michalina Mruczyk – psychologist working with youth. Graduate of clinical psychology at SWPS University. Currently, she works at the Spark Academy high school in Poznań and teaches Psychology at the Poznań faculty of SWPS University.
