37. The Call of Blood At the race track, a driver is shot with a crossbow arrow while sitting in a sulky. Strobel thinks that's very unusual. The murder happened during training, and there were only a few people at the track. Strobel suspects that there was some kind of betting and confiscates the business documents, which he takes home with him. But during the night, his house is broken into and the books - along with a few other things - have disappeared. Strobel's suspicions fall on Fanny Behrensen, the race track secretary. During her interrogation, however, Strobel experiences a huge surprise: Fanny reveals herself to be his daughter, about whom he had not known the slightest thing until then. What Fanny reminds him of is exactly right. 30 years ago on Amrum with Angela in the "Strandperle" guest house - everything was as Fanny remembers it from her mother. Strobel is stunned - and touched. He has a daughter! He proudly presents her in his local bar and celebrates properly. Only Adelheid views her suddenly appeared daughter with great suspicion and continues to investigate at the race track. Through Rainer Kohler, the trainer, who is now afraid of being the next after the murder of his colleague, Adelheid suspects the connections and is able to solve the case after an exciting chase through the whole city.
