He was addicted to drugs and became a criminal to finance his addiction. Dealing, theft, robbery, illegal possession of weapons - in total he has spent nine years of his life in prison, but now he really wants to change something. Many prisoners feel the same way. It is estimated that one in three people in prison in Germany is addicted to drugs. But drugs do not stop at the prison doors either. Cells have to be searched regularly - sniffer dogs are even used. But how are drugs smuggled into prison? And what is prison life like for the inmates?
