More familiarly known as the Lobbia refuge, it is positioned overlooking the Adamello Glacier. Inside everything smells new, Romano and his staff are wonderful. The Sentiero del Matarot is a long and challenging equipped trail to be tackled by well-trained people. It takes place in an isolated, severe and grandiose environment and therefore requires a good sense of direction and good ability to act in the mountains. Our climb in brief: ????????♀️ Tour of about 8 km, about 1,400 meters of altitude difference, 6 hours only climbing. ????️ Departure and arrival: Malga Bedole 1,540m (be careful, paid parking for Val di Genova, book on the PNAB.IT website or Parco Adamello Brenta page) ???? Equipment: at your discretion, via ferrata kit and helmet. It is an equipped trail, many people go up without. ✅From Malga Bedole in about 15 minutes we reach the Bedole Refuge. From here the detour starts to climb, via the Matarot path, to the Caduti dell'Adamello Refuge. We continue on path no. 241, first in the middle of the humid and warm vegetation and then in the middle of giant slabs. At an altitude of 2250 m the equipped path begins that will lead us to the wide moraine slopes towards the Vedretta della Lobbia. The panorama opens towards the Vedretta della Lobbia with its glacial lake, we continue towards the visible saddle of the Passo della Lobbia Alta with its altar dedicated to Pope John Paul II. From the pass our refuge is clearly visible where, in about 5 minutes we reach it.
