I had the pleasure of chatting with Irma, who enthusiastically participated in the Erasmus Plus European Solidarity Corps Volunteering programme in Germany. During her stay, she worked at a German association dedicated to youth and intercultural project development. The experience proved to be an exceptional growth path for Irma. Through her involvement with the association, Irma had the opportunity to acquire a wide range of skills. In addition to strengthening her command of German and English, she learned new skills related to project management, intercultural communication and teamwork. Immersion in German culture was a crucial element of her journey. Through meetings with people from different backgrounds and by participating in local events, Irma refined her understanding of cultural dynamics and developed an intercultural sensitivity that proved invaluable for her work and personal growth. A notable aspect of Irma's journey was sharing her experiences with other volunteers. This constant exchange created a collaborative learning environment, where participants shared ideas, challenges and successes, helping to create lasting bonds and foster a broader and more inclusive vision of Europe and the world. In conclusion, Irma's experience with the Erasmus Plus European Solidarity Corps Volunteering programme in Germany was an extraordinary adventure of personal growth, intercultural learning and skills enrichment. Her dedication to learning, sharing and getting involved is an inspiring example of how exchange programmes can positively influence the lives of young people and foster a more united and inclusive Europe.
