The subject is a science. Learning music consists of repetition. Music is an art in which you will inevitably imitate the sound you repeat when you repeat it. Therefore, instead of listening to many pieces, listening to the same piece one after the other will be more beneficial for you in learning the piece. Similarly, when learning a mode, it is necessary to focus on a mode.
