Accident between ambulance and truck leaves five dead in Paraná

Five people died in an accident on Wednesday night (25) involving an ambulance from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) and a truck, on the Rodovia do Xisto, in the municipality of Paulo Frontin, 200 kilometers from Curitiba. According to the description of the Fire Department, the vehicles collided head-on at km 312, in the region known as Curva do Limoeiro. The ambulance and the truck's cabin were completely destroyed. The ambulance was carrying five people: the driver, a doctor, a nurse, a patient and his accompanying grandson. All died. The bodies were collected by the IML of União da Vitória, in the Center-South of Paraná. Two other people, who were in the truck, were injured. The Civil Police will investigate the circumstances of the accident. Witnesses said that on the curve the ambulance invaded the opposite lane. bandparana.com.br
